Traditional Irish Pancakes

Ingredients:
4oz. Flour
1 Egg
Pinch of Salt
1/2 Pint Milk
Lyles Golden Syrup
knob of butter, melted
1/4 pt/ 125 ml/ 1/2 cup milk |

Method:
Sieve Flour and salt in to a bowl. Make a
well and drop in Egg and slowly beat in Milk Allow to stand for a couple of
hours before frying. Stir again just before frying
To Fry:
On a hot and oiled pan, pour thin coat of batter. Fry until
golden brown on both sides. Serve rolled up with Lyles Golden Syrup on
Top.
Optional:
More traditional is a sprinkle of powdered sugar and touch
of lemon juice instead of Syrup.
Just add a couple of slices of Irish Bacon, Ayrshire Smoked
Bacon, a couple of Dubliner Irish Sausages, a couple of slices of Black &
White Pudding available from The Celtic Treasure Chest for a complete Irish
breakfast.
