Scottish Mince and Tatties

Ingredients:
500g of minced or lean
ground beef Four large potatoes for the mash tatties Three (3)
carrots One (1) large onion 500mls of gravy stock
Optional ingredients: A tablespoon of Worcester
sauce and a white pudding (known as mince and mealies).
A tablespoon of Worcester sauce and a white pudding
(known as mince and mealies). If a thicker stock is needed then add corn
flour or plain flour during the cooking of mince and tatties. Some cooks will
add oatmeal for thickening.
Add herbs like thyme or rosemary to taste
to increase flavour ten minutes before the end of cooking. For a complete
meal serve mince and tatties with neeps. |
